A 144-member delegation from Sikkim has arrived in Nagaland to participate in the much-anticipated Hornbill Festival, set to begin on December 1, 2024. The delegation, which includes government officials, journalists, and representatives from social organizations, made an overnight stop in Guwahati before proceeding to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland.
Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang emphasized the significance of the delegation’s visit, marking Sikkim’s 50 years of statehood and highlighting the importance of cultural unity between the two states.
The delegation’s journey will continue with a visit to Kisama, where the Hornbill Festival will be held. They are scheduled to arrive on November 30 and stay the night before participating in the festival activities.
This collaboration showcases the strengthening of ties and shared cultural experiences between Sikkim and Nagaland as both states celebrate their rich traditions.
