Overview of the Unopposed Elections
Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has congratulated Aditya Golay and Satish Chandra Rai for their certification as Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) representing the 07-Soreng Chakung and 11-Namchi Singhithang constituencies, respectively. Their unopposed election is a significant endorsement from the electorate and represents a rare event in Sikkim’s legislative history, as the Assembly currently lacks opposition voices.
