A group of 25 students from Northeast India has arrived in Varanasi as part of the ‘Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra’, an initiative by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). The program aims to strengthen national unity by promoting cultural exchange and inter-state harmony among students from diverse backgrounds.

Students from Eight Northeastern States Explore Varanasi

ABVP’s ‘Students Experience in Inter-State Living’ (SEIL) Initiative

The ‘Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra’ is part of ABVP’s SEIL initiative, which was launched in 1966 to promote national integration and cultural understanding.

This year’s Yatra, running from January 22 to February 13, 2025, includes 256 students from Northeast India, who are traveling to different parts of the country to foster a deeper cultural connection.

Building Stronger National Ties

By bringing together students from different regions, this initiative plays a crucial role in bridging cultural gaps, encouraging mutual respect, and fostering unity in diversity.

The Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra continues to strengthen inter-state relationships, helping students gain new perspectives and lifelong connections.
