Alarming Rise in Human Trafficking and Crimes Against Women
Srijana Chettri, General Secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha, submitted a letter highlighting a worrying increase in cases of human trafficking and other crimes targeting women. Many women are being trafficked under the guise of false job offers, resulting in numerous missing persons cases. Additionally, there has been an alarming rise in violent crimes, including rape and domestic abuse, with some incidents involving family members.
Call for Immediate Action and Awareness Programs
The BJP Mahila Morcha urged the government to take immediate action to combat these issues. They emphasized the need for comprehensive awareness programs that educate women about their rights and available legal protections.
